EDM-pop duo Andrew Taggart and Alex Paul of The Chainsmokers are coming back to Manila for a one-night concert on Sept. 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The concert, which is part of the American duo’s Memories Do Not Open World Tour, will feature special guest Nick Martin, a “rising talent in the commercial house scene.”
According to concert promoter MMI Live, through a social media post on Monday, Taggart and Paul will serve up fresh tunes from their debut studio album Memories…Do Not Open that they released just this April.
The Grammy-winning duo proved themselves to be the breakout story of 2016 with over five billion global streams and three multi-platinum singles including “Closer,” “Don’t Let Me Down,” and “Roses,” will stage their third concert in the country after performing to a sold-out crowd back in 2016 and 2014.
Formed in 2012, the EDM duo broke through with 2014’s “Selfie” before releasing a debut EP, Bouquet, which features the chart-topping “Roses.” The Chainsmokers released two more hit singles, “Don’t Let Me Down” featuring Daya and “Closer,” which featured the vocals of Halsey and hit the top of the charts in both the U.S. and the U.K.
They also had a recent collaboration with Coldplay titled “Something Just Like This,” which the British rock band performed when they held their show in Manila in April.
Tickets for the show will go on public sale on June 28 at P6,300 for VIP, and P1312.50 for the General Admission.
