RnB star Chris Brown was held at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Wednesday (July 22) due to a “look out” bulletin issued by Department of Justice (DOJ).
The look out order, sent to the airport officials only on Tuesday night, was based on a complaint from a religious sector following the singer’s no-show at the New Year’s Eve concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan last year.
Brown staged a one-night concert at the MOA Arena Tuesday night and was supposed to leave at 1 p.m. via a chartered plane the following day. However, the singer and his crew who were advised by immigration and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines to first secure clearance from the DOJ before they could depart NAIA Terminal 4.
On December 31 last year, the one-time Grammy was supposed to perform at a grand countdown at the Philippine Arena. But a day prior to the big event, the 26-year-old singer made an announcement on Twitter that he lost his passport and wouldn’t be able to leave.
