The film It Takes A Man and A Woman, the long overdue third installment of the A Very Special Love franchise starring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo is breaking box office records.
As announced by Mico del Rosario, advertising and promotions manager of Star Cinema, the romantic-comedy registered the 2nd biggest single day earnings for a local film. It fell just around P8 million short of Sisterakas’s P40.7 million earnings on Christmas Day last year.
The film, which was originally scheduled for Valentine’s Day release, follows the love story of Laida Magtalas and Miggy Montenegro. In this installment, which is said to be the final chapter of the successful romcom series, the two “former lovers” reunite at work and deal with being near yet again. This comes after a few years of separation when the lovebirds headed to splitsville.
Earlier this week, the movie received an “A” rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB). It is the highest grade given to a film in terms of quality. Meanwhile it has been rated G (generally suitable for all audiences) by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
