Viva Entertainment talent and TV5 mainstay Meg Imperial celebrates her youthful beauty and sexiness as she makes her first-ever magazine cover debut on the FHM Philippines December issue.
While the young ones these days are generally delving into nonsensical things, Meg is a different story. At a tender age of 19, Meg is poised to prove that she is ready for bigger things that showbiz has to offer and immortalizing the beauty of her youth on the pages of FHM is her first step. “This is about going out of my comfort zone… Hindi na ako nag-e-enjoy sa pa-tweetums,” says Meg.
Her preparation for her first-ever magazine cover shoot included a research on the past covers and hitting the gym. “I [also] looked at the pegs and checked kung kaya ko ba or hindi… I checked my limitations din. Sinabi ko rin saclose friends ko, [so] parang nag-survey ako sa sarili ko,” she reveals in the FHM interview.
Meg also shares how she intends to spice up her showbiz career as posing for FHM is her first stab at adulthood. “I wanted to be a dramatic actress talaga. Mahilig ako sa heavy drama. So naisip ko, if I don’t start going for mature roles, hindi macha-challenge yung sarili ko sa pag-arte, at hindi ko matatawag ang sarili ko na artista.” Luckily, she has been given the opportunity to portray a not-so tweetums character in Direk Joel Lamangan’s upcoming movieMenor de Edad which will be hitting the big screens in January.
In the movie Menor de Edad, Meg is working alongside Wendell Ramos, who plays the role of the older man that Meg’s character is having an affair with. “I’m 19, but I needed to portray a 15-year-old. Medyo mabigat na charactersiya and sa kanya umiikot yung story,” Meg tells FHM. “Maninibago lang ang mga tao sa akin kasi first time nila ako makikita na ganito, pero they’ll get used to it naman,” she adds.
