Star Cinema’s romantic comedy film Every Breath U Take top-billed by Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban grossed P42.82 million pesos after two weeks at the tills.
The film helmed by Mae Czarina Cruz, released domestically on May 16, was Graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board and rated PG-13 by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.
Every Breath U Take is a story of two people who have opposite take on love and relationship.
Angelica plays the role of Majoy, a virginal character looking for signs and waiting for her one true love to come. Meanwhile, Piolo portrays Leo, a casanova who doesn’t want to take love seriously. They meet on Valentine’s Day and love, or something like it, starts to blossom from then on.
The film’s 42-million-peso earning is the second best performance of a motion picture released from May 23-27. The top spot is occupied by Men In Black 3 that raked in a whooping P71 million on its opening week. The Avengers came in third with P8 million (now grossing P650 million after its five week theatrical run).
