After 200 episodes and over nine years on air, drama series One Tree Hill is set to bid goodbye to its fans as ETC premieres the shows final season this May. Making the successful shift from a teen drama to an adult drama, viewers have grown up with the show during its long run on air.
Following each beloved character through new hopes, challenges and dangers; One Tree Hill looks at how we all strive to have love, laughter, health, friends, career and family in our lives. One Tree Hill Season 9 debuts on May 31, Thursday at 9PM on ETC.
The final season begins with a closer look at the couples of One Tree Hill, Brooke (Sophia Bush) and Julian (Austin Nichols) is new parents of twin boys. But as Brooke struggles on rekindling the flame of the couple’s relationship, Julian is busy trying to juggle the demands of fatherhood as well as a new business venture. Meanwhile Clay (Robert Buckley) and Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) who are going strong as a couple having surpassed their past struggles now look to face a mysteriously new demon that threatens their relationship.
As for Nathan (James Lafferty) and Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti), after welcoming baby Lydia they are challenged to keep their family intact when Nathan’s father Dan Scott (Paul Johansson) returns to town.
Long time fans of the show should watch out for the return of former cast member Chad Michael Murray as Lucas Scott who will return to his sister’s side when she calls on him in a time of need. For the final time, watch as their quest for happiness brings with it, its fair share of drama in a place we have come to love called Tree Hill.
