And the PBB Season 4 Big winner is…Slater Young


Twenty-four-year-old Slater Young from Cebu was named big winner of the 4th Season of Pinoy Big Brother (Unlimited) on March 31 during the finale of the reality show held at the Quirino Grand Stand in Manila.

Slater, a licensed civil engineer, an heir to his family’s construction business, a target shooter, and a tennis player,  took home P2 million after garnering 40.02% of the total number of text votes.
Slater is the first ever male housemate to emerged big winner in Pinoy Big Brother regular editions following Nene Tamayo in 2005, Beatriz Saw in 2007, and Melisa Cantiveros in 2010.

Right after Slater Young was announced the big winner, the term “Congrats Slater” became no. 1 trending topic on Twitter worldwide while the hash tag #TheBigNight became no. 1 on Twitter Philippines.

Slater wants to be an actor and lists John Lloyd Cruz as one of his idols. The Cebu hottie attended workshop last January 2011 that covered dancing, singing, acting and modeling. Slater in under the management of Cornerstone Talent Management Center which also manages singers Eric Santos, Markki Stroem, Yeng Constantino, Richard Poon and Sam Milby.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Pamu or Annielie Gerez Pamorada of Lipa, Batangas was named the second big placer.  The self-proclaimed “lukring” took home P1 million. Joseph Biggel bagged the 3rd Big Placer title and Paco Evangelista was 4th Big Placer.

  1. Slater Young is not 24 years old. I have read an article in the past saying he’s 26. Why these people have to change their age? I remember Jericho Rosales saying he’s 26 when he’s already 31 during the interview. Funny.
