EASTWOOD: A CITY OF CHRISTMAS


Tick the boxes on your Christmas wish list with Eastwood’s wonderful roster of holiday events kicking off this weekend.

Music lovers will surely be delighted with the concerts all lined up. Eastwood’s Christmas Chorale Series at the Eastwood Mall Atrium kicks off on Friday, December 3, with the Faith Academy Choir singing to well-loved Christmas carols. Chorale Concerts continues every Friday and Saturday of December.

America’s Best Dance Crew Season 3 Winner, Quest Crew pumps up the holiday vibe with a dance concert on December 4, 7pm, at the Eastwood Mall Open Park . Armed with unmatched energy and magnetic charisma, the crew members captured the heart of Americans in ABDC back in 2009. Now, it’s time for Filipinos to witness their awesome moves and grooves. Joining the international dance group in the concert are Young JV, 23rd Awit Awards Best New Performer of the Year; Amber Davis, Urban Music Awards Best Female RnB artist; and Philippine All Stars, 2006 and 2008 winners of World Hip Hop Dance Championships.

Filling the holiday air with romance, meanwhile, is no other than Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez on December 5, 8pm, perfectly matching the serene and blissful setting of the Eastwood Mall Open Park .

Kids will of course have a gazillion things to do too. There’s no Christmas without good ‘ol Santa joining the celebration. So make sure to bring your kids to Eastwood Mall all Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays of December (except December 25), to meet, greet, and sit on the lap of everyone’s favourite holiday guest, Santa Clause.

And since you are already on the swing of things, why don’t you take the chance to have your little tykes be one of the first to see the country’s first twin mall mascots – Easter and Woodluck – on their first public appearance on December 5, 7pm, at the Eastwood Mall Open Park . Meet and greet these adorable cuddly bears after at the Ques-o Christmas Village , Eastwood City Walk 2, amidst the wonderful Snow Shower at 8pm. Simultaneously, witness a grand fireworks display at the Eastwood Mall Open Park and be awed with the play of music and lights bursting in the Eastwood skies. Fireworks displays are held all Saturdays and Sundays and December.

Eastwood Christmas mall designs will also make your kids say wow with its wonderful play of colors and patterns. A huge 60 feet Christmas tree sits at the heart of the city embellished with over a thousand Christmas balls (be sure to bring your cameras). The Eastwood Mall Atrium meanwhile is adorned with candy-canes and lolli-wheels while the glass doors are decorated with kaleidoscope stickers. The Ques-O Christmas Village , draws in the child and child at heart with its specially designed life-size Christmas houses line up for a quaint Christmas experience, with sporadic Christmas Snow Showers at Eastwood City Walk 2.

Completing the Christmas celebrations would be an Eastwood shopping spree in various holiday special sales. Get unique gift ideas from the Holiday Gourmet Market, everyday of December; scourge for wonderful toys for godchildren, at the Great Toy Sale; and relive priceless moments through movies and music at the Big CD and DVD Holiday Sale; all at Eastwood Mall.
