Michael Manansala, a 23-year-old freelanced model from Quezon City, won the Mister International Philippines 2009 title after replacing one of the finalists two days before the final event.

Standing at 6’2″, Michael is among the tallest contestants and one of the crowd favorites. Apart from the title, the native hunk of Pampanga also won Mr. Personality.

Other winners were: Thomas Anton Malko (1st Runner Up ); Farzam Nasirian (2nd Runner Up ); and  Abdul Wallace (3rd Runner Up ).

The country’s most respected male pageant, Mister International Philippines 2009, was staged on October 14, 8pm at the A Venue Mall (7829 Makati Avenue).  A total of 16 finalists  competed for a chance to represent the country in the Mister International 2009 to be held in Taichung, Taiwan in December.

This year’s pageant followed a fashion format featuring some of the country’s top menswear designers: Jeffrey Rogador, Jerome Lorico, Ricky Abad and Barge Ramos.

Mister International Philippines 2009 winner received 50,000 Php and a round trip ticket to Taiwan, the First Runner Up received 20,000 Php while the Second Runner Up received 10,000 Php.
