Though analysts believed that the Manny Pacquiao-Oscar De la Hoya ‘Dream Match’ is actually a mismatch due to the latter’s size advantage, the ‘Mexicutioner’ defeated the ‘Golden Boy’ of boxing after eight rounds of pure pound for pound action.
Pacquiao wins by technical knockout (TKO). De la Hoya concedes saying Manny Pacquiao was “too fast I could not stop him”. The 12-round, non-title fight contest ended on the eighth round giving Paquiao his 48th win and Dela Hoya’s 6th loss.

De La Hoya made Pacquiao’s fight with David Diaz a lot more exciting to watch.
